18/06: Eheu fugaces. Labuntur anni.
I'm getting old.
A couple of weeks ago I was excited to discover that you can now buy non-stick baking foil.
Last week I drove to Legoland with Jess and, finding Radio 1 too shouty and Radio 4 too whiney, resorted to Terry Wogan on Radio 2.
Yesterday I bought an iron on the basis of a review in Good Housekeeping*.
Tomorrow we have a long car journey - I'll probably get up early to make cucumber sandwiches and a flask of weak tea.
But there is a faint glimmer of hope - as I ironed my way through the huge pile of laundry this afternoon, I couldn't help but notice that the new iron bears a striking resemblance to Darth Vader. It even sounds just like him.
*which I flicked through whilst 'busy' in the cloakroom of one of the Other Mothers - the one with Housekeeping OCD.
